This course provides students with practical experience using medical records management software in a simulated medical office. Students will learn to enter patient data, post charges, handle payments, run financial reports, and submit insurance claims.

The course helps students perform medical office procedures such as scheduling, billing, setting up reminders, and filing insurance claims so that they are familiar with the daily tasks of a medical assistant.

The course provides placement of the student in a clinical setting, where the student will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the clinical and laboratory duties in a medical facility.
