Virtual Assistant Literacy

The course aims to equip students with skills to provide administrative, creative, and technical services. With a focus on communication skills and time management, the course will also teach students technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Students will learn to work with online collaboration apps such as Basecamp for task management and project tracking. In addition, they will learn to use virtual meeting tools such as Zoom and Google Meet.

The students will learn the basics of Information Technology, including hardware, software, and networking concepts in computing. They will also learn about databases, best security concepts & practices, and business continuity strategies.

Finally, they will learn about computer support and common troubleshooting techniques.

Students in this class perform hands-on exercises to learn research skills, study techniques, and time management.

They will also gain an understanding of project management and product development, including Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Jira.

Students will learn cloud principles and how cloud solutions are designed. They will also learn how cloud network and storage solutions are used. With a focus on teaching students why organizations must put their users and applications in the cloud.

Next, students will learn how cloud management and technical operations are configured for standard cloud solutions.
