This course introduces students to healthcare’s legal and ethical aspects, including physician-patient relationships, professional liability, malpractice, medical practice acts, informed consent, and bioethics.

The course includes the fundamentals of math skills, where the students will refresh, learn, and practice basic math skills, including consumer mathematics, decimals, percentages, fractions, and the metric system.

In this course, students will study the fundamentals of medical terminology, including word-building rules, prefixes, and suffixes. They will also explore terms related to anatomy, physiology, pathological conditions, and medical treatments across various specialties.

This course will give students insight into basic anatomy and physiology, emphasizing how body structure and function relate to healthcare procedures.

This course provides students with practical experience using medical records management software in a simulated medical office. Students will learn how to enter patient data, post charges, handle payments, run financial reports, and submit insurance claims.

The course introduces students to the field of insurance billing and reimbursement. It also includes effective practices for managing electronic records, including training in indexing, file management, and the connection between electronic and image records.

The CCI Training Center arranges an extensive externship for medical office procedures as well as for clinical duties in a medical facility close to the student’s location. This gives hands-on experience related to front-end and back-end tasks.

This course reviews all the administrative tasks and responsibilities a Medical Administrative Assistant will perform throughout their job. Also, the course prepares students to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)  exam through NHA.

The course enables students to gain vital career advancement skills, such as resume writing, interviewing, networking, effective communication, and time management. Students will also participate in mock interviews and learn how to use online job search tools.
