14-Week Program

Students with a background in Allied health can choose this program. It prepares them with the aim of qualifying for the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) national exam by AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders).

Such students don’t need to pay for the complete program.

Courses In The Program

This course covers the basics of insurance billing and how reimbursements work. Students will learn how to manage electronic medical records, including indexing, organizing, and storing records. They will also practice using medical records software in a simulated medical office, where they’ll enter patient data, process payments, and run reports.

This course teaches students how to build medical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, and body system terminology. The course covers terms related to anatomy, conditions, treatments, and procedures. 

Candidates will also learn about the ICD-10-CM coding system for chapters 1-22, CPT guidelines, and HCPCS modifiers. They will practice coding, entering patient data, posting payments, and filing insurance claims using medical records software.

This course covers the basics of coding for skin, muscle, respiratory, and lymphatic system procedures. 

Students will practice coding, entering patient information, posting charges and payments, and filing insurance claims using medical records management software in a simulated medical office.

In this course, students will learn how to code for procedures related to the cardiovascular, digestive, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, nervous, and sensory systems (eye/ear). They will practice coding and using medical records software in a simulated medical office. 

The focus of this course includes entering patient data, posting payments, running reports, and filing insurance claims.

This course will focus on coding for anesthesia, pathology, laboratory, evaluation, management, and other medical procedures. Students will review everything they have learned in previous courses (MBC02A to MBC02C). 

They will also practice using medical records software in a simulated medical office, entering patient data, posting charges, processing payments, running reports, coding cases, and filing insurance claims.

The course prepares students for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder exam. It will cover the key responsibilities and tasks of a medical billing and coding professional. Students will also go through practice tests, time management tips, and test-taking strategies to help them prepare.

This course helps students prepare for career growth. From learning how to write a resume, conduct job interviews, network, communicate effectively, and manage time to using online resources for the job search. 

A one-on-one mock interview will also be included to boost career opportunities.

The externship course allows students to gain real-world experience as medical billers and coders. They will work in an office setting, applying the skills and knowledge they learned in the above courses.

Outcome Of The Program

No prior experience required.

Applicable for entry-level jobs such as medical records technician, medical biller/coder, front desk specialist, claim scrubber, and specialist in insurance verification.

Fast-Track Vocational Training

Prepared for CPC national exam conducted by AAPC.

Program Duration

This program is offered in the following formats based on prior experience or knowledge of the student in Allied health.

14 weeks
program

The 14 week program is for the candidates who have a background in Allied health and want to prepare for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification national exam by American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Such candidates do not need to pay for the entire program.

26 weeks
program

The 26 week Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program is designed for students with no prior knowledge in the field of allied health. Anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent is eligible to join the program and start their career as a Medical Biller and Coder is as little as 6 months.

4 weeks
CPC Test Prep!

The 4 Weeks CPC test prep is a preparation program designed for the candidates who want to take Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification national exam by American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
