Anatomy & Physiology
Anatomy & Physiology classes in DFW
CCI Training Center covers many topics while preparing job seekers for their medical assistant and pharmacy technician certifications.
Anatomy is the study of the structures of the human body. These structures include the skeleton, muscles, respiratory system, and so on. Physiology involves studying the function of biological mechanisms such as organisms, organs, cells, and biomolecules. This discipline helps us understand how our bodies and the systems with them carry out their tasks.
While studying anatomy and physiology with CCI, we will focus on the structure and function of the:
- Skeletal system
- Muscular system and individual muscles
- Nervous system
- Circulatory system
- Respiratory system
- Urinary system
Understanding anatomy and physiology is essential for both medical assistants and pharmacy technicians. This knowledge is key to both diagnosing illness and providing care as disease can always be traced back to problems in a person’s anatomy, physiology, or both.
