As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you are a caring and compassionate, medical multi-tasker who can think on your feet. The role of a Medical Assistant is vital to a medical office, and a career as a CMA in the healthcare industry offers you a wide-ranging field of opportunities.
The duties of a Medical Assistant vary from one medical facility to another. For example, in a private practice setting, you may help perform front-office or back-office duties working with patients or assist the medical staff. The daily tasks may include assisting the patient and the medical staff in the examination room, administering EKG testing, taking and recording of vital signs, answering inquiries, patient records, greeting patients, filling out patient forms, obtaining patient specimens and/or other procedures.
CCI Training Center offers medical assisting students a comprehensive, handson training that includes both on-campus and online classes. With small class sizes, flexible training, and the additional class in lab procedures, you will feel confident to compete successfully in the job market.
Students are advised that the ultimate responsibility to qualify and sit for industry certifications remain with the student. Students who complete the program and are otherwise qualified by the third-party certifying organization, may sit to take the following certification exams from the National Heathcareer Association:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician
